Ruth Gilbert, “Becoming a traveling DJ from St. Louis, Missouri has been an amazing journey.” Ruth has DJayed with many of the top WCS DJ’s and new up-n-coming WCS DJ’s at West Coast Swing Events across the country since 2006. A proud accomplishment was to be invited to DJ three years consecutive at the America’s Classic in Houston fondly known as ACC. Ruthie started as an Imperial (East Coast) Swing DJ in St. Louis in 2003 which naturally progressed into a WCS DJ making her the first audio director for the STL Rebels when it was formed in 2006. Ruthie continues to play for the STL Rebels Club as a rotating house DJ and alternates weekly at a local Sports Bar for the West Coast Swing Tuesday crowd. She has been a great influence with the creation of the newest WCS dance club in St. Louis called StL Destination Swing. Create, evolve and grow.
