The Body Language Curriculum is an education roadmap for learning, teaching, and understanding the literal kinetic language that is west coast swing.
Come learn how the grammar, vocabulary, and cultural systems will transform YOUR future swingversations in this seminar on the BLC.
If you as a dancer of West Coast Swing believe that
-our dance is a language
-our dances are shared conversations
-our community is worth growing
Then we want to invite you to be a part of the Body Language Curriculum, a comprehensive West Coast Swing educational map, teaching dancers to both speak and listen to the kinetic communication the way we actually dance on the social floor.
Instead of teaching steps and patterns, this approach uses secondary language-learning techniques to empower dancers to express and dance confidently.
In this seminar, you’ll learn about the grammar, vocabulary, and cultural systems that make west coast swing a literal dance language.
Join us as we share the educational divides and social problems that are pushing new dancers away and explore solutions that BLC instructors are using around the nation to create explosive growth in their communities.
Taught by Jesse Lopez & Ariel Peck.
Friday from 6pm to 8 pm.
Free, no night or weekend pass necessary.
